Overview

This experiment demonstrates the rectification of an AC signal using diodes. Rectification is an essential process in power supplies to convert AC to DC.

Components Required

• Diodes (1N4007)
• AC Signal Generator
• Resistor (100Ω)
• Oscilloscope

Procedure

1. Connect the diodes in a bridge rectifier configuration to convert AC to DC.

2. Apply an AC input signal and observe the rectified DC output on the oscilloscope.

Expected Result

The AC signal will be rectified into a pulsating DC waveform with positive peaks only.
