Overview
This experiment uses flip-flops to divide the frequency of an input signal by a specific factor.
Components Required
- 2 D Flip-Flops
- Clock signal generator
- Resistors
- Power supply
- Oscilloscope
- Breadboard and wires
Procedure
1. Connect the clock input to the first flip-flop.
2. Use the output of the flip-flop to drive the next flip-flop.
3. Observe the output frequency, which will be divided by 2 for each flip-flop stage.
Expected Result
The output frequency will be halved with each additional flip-flop in the series.
