Overview
This experiment demonstrates how to use the 555 timer IC to blink an LED at a regular interval.
Components Required
- 555 Timer IC
- LED
- Resistors (470Ω, 1kΩ)
- Capacitors (10µF, 100nF)
- Power supply
- Breadboard and wires
Procedure
1. Set up the 555 timer in astable mode to generate a square wave.
2. Connect the LED to the output of the timer.
3. Observe the LED blinking at the frequency determined by the resistors and capacitors.
Expected Result
The LED will blink on and off at a regular interval based on the component values.
