Capacitor Charging and Discharging with Transistors

Overview

This experiment demonstrates capacitor charging and discharging using transistors as switches.

Components Required

• Capacitor (100µF)
• NPN Transistor (2N2222)
• Resistor (1kΩ)
• Power Supply (9V)

Procedure

1. Connect the capacitor in series with a resistor to the transistor.

2. Apply a voltage to the base of the transistor to switch it on and off, allowing the capacitor to charge and discharge.

Expected Result

The capacitor will charge and discharge in response to the transistor switching.
