Blinking LED Circuit with 555 Timer

Overview

This experiment demonstrates how to use the 555 timer IC to blink an LED at a regular interval.

Components Required

• 555 Timer IC
• LED
• Resistors (470Ω, 1kΩ)
• Capacitors (10µF, 100nF)
• Power supply
• Breadboard and wires

Procedure

1. Set up the 555 timer in astable mode to generate a square wave.

2. Connect the LED to the output of the timer.

3. Observe the LED blinking at the frequency determined by the resistors and capacitors.
