Photodiode-Based Proximity Sensor

Overview

This experiment shows how a photodiode can be used as a proximity sensor to detect nearby objects based on reflected light.

Components Required

Procedure

1. Connect the photodiode in reverse bias mode with an operational amplifier to form a sensor circuit.

2. As an object comes closer, the photodiode will detect the reflected light, triggering the output signal.

Expected Result

The output signal will vary based on the proximity of an object, indicated by the LED turning on or off.
