Objective: Decode the quadrature signals generated by a rotary encoder.

Steps:

  1. Connect the rotary encoder to a microcontroller or logic analyzer.
  2. Rotate the encoder and capture its output signals (A and B channels).
  3. Analyze the phase difference between the signals to determine direction and count.
